The social campaign "Age is an asset" focuses on stories by senior employees. The stories focus on experience and knowledge, and help to increase self-confidence and motivation to continue employment.
The campaign also helps to break the negative attitudes of both employers and society towards the employment of seniors. Continued employment is also related to flexible pension plans, which is why we also explain the changes brought along by the pension reform (take a look at the personal pension plan and Calculator).
Andy, often mistaken as Santa Claus, is actually a ventilation engineer. Sketching complex projects on paper is a piece of cake for him, as is the actual construction of the plans. “To me, age is indeed only a number, and I am rather offended when I’m considered to be some incapable old guy."
You can feel Anne’s energy and presence whenever she’s around. She’s the go-ahead gal who always gets things done. Anne seems to have more energy than some people half her age – almost daily visits to the gym, badminton games, travels, work tasks, and professional training – all of these fit into her agenda. „You shouldn’t be asking me where I find all the energy. We should rather wonder, where do people get all the laziness from?”
John is a musician and entertainer, but you can also think of him as a teacher, mentor, idea generator, and a promoter. He is motivated by all sorts of ideas that he comes up with. Putting all those ideas into action is where the force comes that keeps him from becoming a couch potato. „I’m not afraid to learn something new, something that I haven’t got any clue about. This has resulted in learning to play all sorts of instruments, that I can play music on freely now.”
Svea works part-time at the History Museum. She is daily surrounded by colleagues of different age groups, which is a bonus in an organization. The staff is more various, exciting, and stronger. „So what, that I am a pensioner. I am still active – both in my professional and private life.”
